Front locker replacement parts!

Having been around these AAM-7.6's for many years now...I see "trends" in what breaks and what doesn't. One item that consistently fails on these diffs, is the ramp plate for the front locker. These lockers came in 2009 and 2010 Adv Pak models. They are often swapped into older 2006-2008 models as they drastically increase the off-road ability. Obviously, Hummer was on life-support in 2009 and eventually shut-down mid-year of 2010 when GM declared bankruptcy...so these front lockers are a bit scarce. Finding one that isn't broken is even more scarce! Parts are no longer available from GM, and Eaton does not support this particular E-locker anymore.

The ramp plate is often the single piece that renders the E-locker useless. I have been working with a shop to make a test run replacement for this commonly cracked part. It will be made from a higher strength steel (not a casting) and it will be case-hardened after machining. It is my hopes this part will get a bunch of front lockers working again, and/or upgrade front lockers that might be driving around with cracked ramp plates. Here are some photos of the typical "ramp plate cracks" that these lockers are famous for...

I will update this thread when I get some real numbers. In the meantime...let me know if there is a market out there for these. I get better prices for quantities.

A2 tool steel, CNC machined, case hardened....$200 each (free USPS shipping). I have six of them coming. Two already spoke for. If there is enough interest in this, I can make more. Price goes down with higher quantities.

Zelle payment preferred.

I think the pins could be fabbed easy enough. I have yet to notice any issues with the stock ones but, I'm sure if you put enough miles on the locker with a cracked plate...it will eventually effect the pins as well.

New A2 tool steel ramp plates just arrived! These test at 60 Rockwell which is twice as hard as the stock ones. The green painted one in the photo is stock and shows the typical cracking that occurs at the bottom of the ramps. Sometimes they crack completely thru in all three places, (and usually fall out in three separate pieces). If you suspect you have a cracked ramp plate, or if you expect to someday crack one...I have replacements. I only have four of these available. If you want one, email me up at: wilsonmech@sbcglobal.net

$200 plus $19.00 USPS shipping.

Hey CJ! Do you know of any place where you can get a replacement coil/actuator. In my case, the wire got ripped clean off it. (COIL, FRT ELEC LOCKING DIFF AXLE (G93) Part Number 25800310)

That’s awesome that you are keeping the lockers alive!

I’m somewhat shocked the lockers are breaking before the R&P.
