Yesterday myself and two of my buddies, one with a Raptor and the other with an F150 went wheeling at Eglin AFB.

It was a good time, they have a mix of everything. Alot of it is driving sandy trails, some that are very heavily wooded and pinstriped the crap out of our trucks but we couldn't turn around and had no choice but to push through.

I'd recommend it for beginner wheeling. It is a lot of easy stuff. We had the most fun in the sand bowl where the raptor was stuck twice and I had to pull it out.

It only costs $12 per person and that is valid for the fiscal year. So if you bought a pass now you can go wheeling until the end of September when you''ll need to buy a new one. Passes are available via mail or you have to go to the Jackson Guard in Niceville, FL to get it.

The hummer handles like hell on the wash boards but did great everywhere else.

If anyone wants to try it, I'd be down to do another run.

Here are a few photos from the day.

This first one is of us trying to get ourselves out of the narrow trails.. a little bit of night wheeling.

The raptor got itself stuck twice.. the first time it was in 2wd... the second time was up the same hill, but in 4wd and locked.

I had to take a poser shot.

No problem. I think the hardest part of the trails there was probably the sand pit... but we didn't explore all of the 250000 acres available. We pretty much just took one trail back across to get to where we lived before it got dark.. but unfortunately mother nature had other plans for us.
