This fall I bought a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. I love my H3 but it's not been super reliable for me so I added this. Here she is bone stock... but I also am adding a 3.5" lift from Metalcloak (https://metalcloak.com/jt-gladiator-3-5-game-changer-suspension-systems.html) that I just ordered. I'm not gonna compare hummers and jeeps but I do love the way this thing drives, so if you need a new factory vehicle I'd recommend this. (I will say hummer people are way cooler than jeep people).

Well ....it's been 10 months....what's the verdict between the two?? :)

I have a JKU, and to me the H3 (3.7L) is hands down the better rig for DD-ing between the two. Quieter, more comfortable, handles & drives 10x better. A H3 with ADV pkg does great off road. But H3's are getting to the age where a guy is going to need to do more 'wrenching' on them. And parts are harder to find.

Jeeps can do things only Jeeps can do. They have their appeal and I get it (I own some). I can definitely see getting a Gladiator and having both jeep AND truck capabilities. I don't really care how Jeep styled the rear end of the Gladiators, myself, but they seem like great rigs. They look cool with a lift and large meats. Hope it's working out for you
