    Water leak

Wellllll itís been raining the last couple days up here in Northern California and I noticed the driver side front carpet is soaked. I cut out a portion of the carpet to help it dry out and will be leaving a tarp on it to hopefully prevent more water getting in. I donít have a sunroof and am wondering if there are common places to check for leaks. Thanks in advance! Also noticed a bit of water in the doors which Iíve heard isnít a huge issue.
ēI will try checking out the plastic roof trim and all of those bolts tomorrow.

PS I also installed a new head unit, CB radio and door speakers. I was very excited until I noticed the leak hahah ugh.

Do you have a roof rack? I've heard of them leaking around the rivets of the upper track.

Check the front screw in the recess mount. It holds water and will rust out.

No roof rack but the front driver side bolt was very loose (how?) so I took it out, let it dry out and tightened it down. I hope that fixes it. Thanks for the advice!

I drilled out a piece of plastic square stock and cut it to length to match the height of the roof trim, filled the gaps with black silicone and no more puddles of water.
