    I don't think there's any way in the world they could've tied down a tarp tight enough to stay on in a hurricane or heavy thunderstorm. I think the only way you could've protected your truck would be to seal it in a Conex container. Now as it is; the interior electrical connectors aren't weather sealed like the external electrical connectors. I would be worried about everything you can't see like electrical connections under the dash. Separate everything and plug and unplug those connectors so they "scrape together" for a fresh connection.

    That sounds like rotten luck. Sorry you are going through it.

    This thread scares me a bit. Next thing I was going to look for to add to my Hum was roof rails? Is it not s simple as ordering these https://www.hummerpartsclub.com/p/HPC_83016.html and putting them on the top? Is there more to it?

    It is that simple. They're talking about the U channel already in the black plastic trim on the top of the roof that those rails attach to.
