At this price, you are getting close to what an aftermarket (G2, Dynatrac, Currie, etc.) axle would cost. Missing from this are coil springs, shocks, front driveshaft and entire steering system. That stuff will add another $2200 or so. I would rank this particular axle toward the high-side of what a SAS will cost. I have (2) other SAS axles being built right behind this one, and both are significantly less. You can subtract $2300 or so by using a stock GM housing, stock shafts, and an open diff....so don't let my crazy build scare you off. It can be done far cheaper.
