Built a new bumper

I posted before with the bumper I built for my youngest son's truck. Well, I have since gotten my own truck so I can play too, and didn't like the plastic bumper it had.

I cut the parts out on my cnc table from 16 gauge steel. Then I welded them together. The brush guard is 3/16" round stock.

I mounted a Bulldog winch to it, which is a functional electric winch. It had a really cheesy plastic hook on it, so I trashed that and made a steel one.

I welded two tabs to the stinger and mounted two round led lights.

I'm really happy with how it runs. Approach is awesome, and I can get my tires up onto things quite well.

Here's some pics. Sorry about the cell phone quality pics! The real camera was dead.

And then we had to do a test of the winch!

The detail in those trucks is amazing! It actually took me a second to realize it wasn't a real truck - was wondering why you removed the headlights and put on decals

Great looking bumper. We started building this one for my sons F250 but now have moved it to his F350. I wish i had a plasma and cnc, that would be fun!!! We hand cut and fit every piece. The front box is for straps and chains (shown without lid) Hopefully we finish it soon before he moves onto yet another truck. LOL

Loving the bumper on the RC---you wouldn't believe how incredibly close to that exact style is to the bumper I tried getting built for my H3. The only thing I didn't think to do was add the additional tube on top of the winch like yours, and that would have made it look right.
I was looking at all the pics I'd drafted for that build this week. Came really close to getting it executed as well but my builder took several liberties with the tube work that I did not approve of so we parted ways.
If anybody is thinking about building a bumper for the 3--this is the design to use. It will look righteous.
