I have been using a
Snow and Nealy axe forever and I am looking for a little less weight with the same quality. Anyone got a review on an axe they use or have used? I tried a

I have 2 axes - a HMMWV pioneer kit axe (wood handle) like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pioneer-Too...737?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7ce87eb1 - it's an excellent axe to take camping.

...and a LAFD Seagrave pickhead axe (fiberglass handle) like this one -http://www.firefighteraxe.com/pickhead_axe.php

Here's the history of the Seagrave axe:

This axe chops wood like "butta" and is the best axe I have ever owned. I have been using it every year since 1998 to chop the winter firewood for our fireplace. The 6 lb. blade/head on this thing is not only a thing of beauty but strong and durable as hell!

No, I only carry the pioneer kit axe in the truck. I leave the other one at home.
