    06 H3's Squeakin H3 Build

I rushed through ROTM back in the day so this time I will slowly add a little bit and use this as my build thread for "Squeaky." Squeaky is a 2006 Hummer H3 with the Luxury Package. It was mall crawled until 48,000 Miles and wheeled from 48K to current day, 79K miles. I love the H3 to death and it is very fun for me to watch the H3 evolve as time goes on. So here it is...

    Bone Stock

    Current Day

    "Squeaky"
    Squeaky3: 06 H3 ALPHA D70 front/Eaton HO72 rear 5.13 gears, custom crossmember for long arms, lockers, 4:1 T-case, v8 swap, hybrid cage, Warn 12k Custom bumpers....do it all vehicle

Thinking back on the first time I ever went offroad was with a buddy of mine, He has a Jeep Grand Cherokee. He originally got me into wheeling and as I wanted to learn more I hopped onto a forum called *** and met alot of cool people and learned how to wheel better then when I first started. Now I moved over to H4O and am here to stay.

First wheeling trip. Local trails some with mud. These were basic fire roads and some fun hillclimbs.

One of the first modifications I did was add a hitch to tow the buggy. I now realize what a pain in the ass it is to have an aftermarket hitch that sits low and will eventually tie a hitch into an offroad bumper later on down the road.
Wiring harness all banged up from offroad, will be moved.

Next mod I did was set up a toggle switch on the passenger side by the seat which controls the CB, blue underdash lights and a power inverter. Sorry No pics of that. I originally went with a Radioshack CB and Radioshack Antenna. I now have upgraded. I also did VHT nightshades around the same time. Here are some pics of the cb antenna and blacked out lights on a little snow run.

At this point I really started to catch the bug. I was hooked! I still wasnt on a run with the so cal guys though. I continued to mod away before I went with them.

I cranked the T-Bars and a few months later the 35" duratracs were put on and nerfs came off!

    What came next??
K&N Air Filter and a magnaflow exhaust. The muffler shop put on a dumb tip! It always got hung up but dont worry later on in the build the tip met a sawsall
Sticker is good enough right?? BTW The sticker looks uneven but it isnt. I am too OCD for it to be uneven...the camera just made it look that way

Next mod was an upgraded CB and antenna. The first one wasnt cutting it....I got a Cobra 29LTD classic with a Wilson Lil Wil antenna. It worked great. I eventually added a P.A. to it too. lol

This time the duratracs really started to shine. I got a call the night after a good rainstorm. The mud here is gorilla snot according to cbetts. An F-250 on 37s got stuck, a lifted blazer got stuck trying to pull him out and my friends Grand Cherokee(pic of his jeep in 2nd post) got stuck also. I got the call to get them all out. I get there and got laughed at...A hummer pulling out these macho vehicles??? Does the H3 have a V8?? Nope the I5...got laughed at. I was sorta agitated but it aside to help out these guys...pull all there asses out and got the credit a hummer deserves. They said they would never make fun of a hummer again, lol. A week later my friend in the Grand Cherokee thinks the mudpit is ok for him to try. Well he sunk and the mud suction-cupped to the jeep. I tried to get him out but couldnt. A 4x4 tow truck came out and winched him out. The tow truck broke his front driveshaft and another tow truck came to get him out...what a mess.

Here are some pics of the H3 and the jeep at the mudhole. Here is my friend full of mud, his dad by the hummer and his grandpa sitting in the jeep

Next it was time to say goodbye to the stock radio. I have the monsoon system so I have left the speakers alone but will probably be upgraded at a later time. I went with a Pioneer AVIC-X920BT, I added XM with that and it has the rear view camera, IPOD hookup touch screen, bluetooth, GPS, etc. I really like this unit and was glad I added it.

I was getting pretty sick and tired of cleaning muddy carpets. I had some universal fit mats but really wanted weathertech custom fit mats. I picked these up used from Talusfan when he sold his first H3. I only have fronts but will eventually get rears too. These mats are amazing! They keep all the mess on the mat and no where else. Found a pic of the toggle switches too! The rear has some universal fits for now
