So I picked this up July 3rd last year. When my wife realized I ordered the truck, and we were past the point of no return, she went into labor.....

The key to getting one of these in a timely fashion, you need to work with a dealer that has a confirmed allotment of these and knowing when the new shipments and order confirmation deadlines. No waiting months or a year, or paying marked up off the lot pricing.

I have not done too much to this truck, it is still my DD. I have not really had it off-road a whole lot either.

I added a Ford Performance Parts Light bar and some Hella 550 lights and a CB

This truck tows great too, I have pulled my Scout back and forth from the farm a few times and it rescued the H3 from Drummond Island when it broke a spring.

I am putting the finishing touches on a bed rack for the upcoming Snoball500 Raptor run in the UP. The rack will hold the spare tire, two cans of fuel, and a small box for randoms. I will probably modify it for a shovel and farm jack too. Here is a teaser shot.

The more and more I think about them the more I want a raptor. I want a vehicle with good fuel economy though lol. Make sure you take a lot of pictures for the snowball run. I would LOVE to do that! Feel free to get the flu and let me borrow your truck hahaha

The truck is super popular in pockets. TX, CA, AZ, and SE MI they are all over the place. There are 6 Raptor owners withing 3 miles of my house, and I would say there are over 20 withing a 10 mi radius of my work on any given day. Last year on my trip to FL and back I only saw one other Raptor. When you think about it, it does not cost any more than an F-250 really, so if you don't need to tow the moon, then this is a pretty good truck to have.

Still in the "Working on it" stages, but the bed rack is in. I am adding various attachment points now things like farm jacks, fuel cans, shovels, storage bins. I still need to make the drawer for under the tire like I plan.

Last week I picked up some Goodyear Duratracs for the truck. Should make the trip a bit more controlled.

Western UP has gotten 16" in the last couple days, and the LES machine is still cranking. Can't wait to get up there

Since I last posted an update on the Raptor I have traveled over 500 miles in Michigan's UP on various trails and terrain. Weather was GREAT!

When we came home, I could not shake the itch to get out more with the Raptor. Over the next couple months I have partnered with a few other companies and have begun to run the Raptor in the Detroit SCCA Rallycross season.

Pics from our last race.

So, are you fearing that new Toyota "TRD Pro" they just announced? :giggle: Other than shocks and a mild lift, doesn't sound like Toyota did much.

You mean the Toyota Sticker Package? LOL

We will see. I don't know enough about it to really make a comment, but I thought the old ones where good vehicle.

The "Reaper" is a joke as an off-road truck IMO, but we will see.

I will reserve judgement til I see one, might have to call my buddies at Toyota.

A few more updates...... Sorry I just have not been foruming like I used to.

Last summer my front coilovers needed a rebuild and my upper ball joint went. Just like the H3, the uppers are non-servicable and needed replacing.

The upper control arm is from a company called SVC - Special Vehicle Concepts. They are the company that built up Ken Blocks RaptorTrax.

These are a two piece design to allow camber and caster adjustment without removing the upper controls. Packaging on the Raptor means you need to pull the from coilover on the driver side to remove the UCA.

These have 3/4" FK Hiems and a 1.5" Uniball. 3/4" Bolt attached it to the knuckle.

Also pictured are Icon Vehicle Dynamics 3.0 coil over. These also come with a speed adjustment dial on the remote reservoir.

I also added EBC brakes rotors and pads. These were specifically sourced to me from EBC. By that, I am using their ultraduty pads (think larger commercial vehicles) with the GD dimpled and slotted rotors. What a huge difference.

I also was able to try out the first Hellwig Motorsports Raptor Sway bar. I have been really happy and it has woken the truck up on the road and track a bit. It is a big reason why I use their parts on my H3 now too.

Might as well update this too....

Truck is not running Method NV wheels (same on my H3 too) with BFG KO2 tires.
Also moved the KC Gravity Series lights to the Raptor for a little more light on the truck.

And brought home some small hardware from a time speed distance rally I competed in a few months ago.
