Couple more updates as a plod along.
I decided to do a full tear down on the motor. Probably wasn't needed, but assuming I don't screw anything up, it should last another 100k (which is all I have on the H3 anyway). Degreased, new Cam bearings, new plugs. I had the heads cleaned too. Considered porting them, but I am trying my best not to go too silly on everything. I already let the scope creep from a cam swap to a full on rebuild. :emb:
Slowly cutting away the rust from the rockers. Plan is to flatten out the underside of the body, trim and reinstall the plastic rocker panel molding thingy, and build new rock rails that snug up. Recently started kicking around the idea of adding a body lift.... TBD on that too.
@Bebe, thoughts on just going all in and converting to a driver side T-case drop and tossing in a H2 front diff (I know it is not that simple) but with the new engine and transmission, I need new front and rear driveshafts anyway.
