The dash cam for my silverado has given up the ghost. It's a thinkware dc-h1-fg. It was sold be gm and plugged into the OBD port. Listed just shy of 3 years.

So I don't want to spend that kind of money for something that will only list a few years. Any recommendations?

I think they all last a few years simply due to the heat in the trucks when parked in the sun. These are my two personal choices, based on whether you prefer a suction cup mount or adhesive mount. Either one can be (should be) hardwired with an add-a-fuse to a switched fuse under the dash. (Use a non-switched fuse if you want recording when parked.) Each will also require a quality memory card designed for constant writing.

The first the one I had in a Camry when I did Uber for a short while and a f*cking loser rider tried to claim whiplash when the car behind me tapped me with the force of a bag of marshmallows. Insurance denied the rider's claim. You can turn off the inside camera on each of these cameras.

I have a Kenwood DRV-A601 and not happy with it. Video is great but mounting is horrible, jiggles around real easy and falls off every trip. Rear camera is useless now with 37" mounted high. Looking for a new one myself.
