Picked up a new "leather" shift boot from Amazon. Took 20 minutes total to get it installed using a Youtube video for instructions. It takes a 4mm hex to remove the screw holding the shift knob. I used a painter's 5-1 tool both for the prying and to insert the vinyl into the plastic trim pieces. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B083XGZCD6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Alex any issues getting the shifter into D1 with this? I replaced mine with something similar from Amazon or somewhere and the leather is better quality than OEM but it's thicker and the shifter really doesn't want to go into D1. With my tap shift project I'll likely be pulling the shift knob apart and this is cheap enough to do while I have it apart even though the current one is in good shape.
