Gonna start out at the beginning. 416AA43C-9ED1-4A6C-AE24-4D7DBF43FBB8.jpeg

flew to Phoenix to pick my 2010 Alpha up. She had 113k miles on her. 20” Chrome wheels. But the offroad package was the selling point

First modification? Swapping out the 20”’chromes for a set of factory 16”’chromes and 315/75/16 BFG KO2s. Also swapped all the shocks to Bilstein 5100s and then threw on an old Yakima Megawarrior basket on. Also added some RockyRoadOutfitters Rock SlidersE587D9CC-5CCA-4380-8DCF-7CE0D141BC80.jpeg

I had ordered a GobiRack before I got the Rooftoptent, but it didn’t get here in time. But it finally came a week after our trip out with the tent43739859-760C-4E05-BFC5-39C32E1678EC.jpeg

Over the next few days I install the SPC LightRacing Jounce shocks for the front. Which require cutting off the factory bumpstop mounts and welding on a supplied bracket. Also decided to switch to Bilstein 5160s in the front and 5165s in the rear. I think they’re the same compression and rebound as the standard 5100s, but with a reservoir. At the same time I swap the rear leaf springs for old man emu springs 0FD14AD0-72AB-4A02-A194-855E3A07AD2F.jpegCFD889AE-2171-4CFA-A2B0-775FE5193956.jpeg196270D5-378F-4DD0-8EBF-FEE9215DAE39.jpegA7DFC9BC-861F-4889-A4AF-560C9CA3FEDB.jpegAA2F348E-7FFB-4C3E-93D1-101617A6A8DD.jpeg03107D4C-E312-4900-8C51-10A182100FD5.jpeg950BDA27-83FC-4BAB-A998-5C7ABA4F52D5.jpegC139ECD7-46E2-4C4B-8469-136C92EA0532.jpeg

Got a skull spare tire delete plate from Benjamin Kenney. Also ordered LED rear brake lights from IPCW. I decided to order a set
of
skidplates
from Schwarttzy. I like how this design is 349C6834-FB5D-46B1-A0C6-DC50CBCAA8D1.jpegACA1012B-1E5C-4878-A076-8B28410DDDAF.jpegA7ABE98C-1C78-4F03-8BE8-02D364BE4231.jpeg1F192864-ABE0-4DF2-A513-D33DD800EC11.jpeg69A226BB-8CB7-4398-8E81-E9462F54EBDD.jpeg

To make things a little more convenient for overlanding,
I decided that I need a swing out tire carrier and jerry can cradles. I used a fab fours Toyota Tacoma swing out and fabricate some brackets to make it fit my rear ARB bumper

After using a yeti cooler for years,
we step up to a refrigerator on our trips and it certainly has been a game changer. I built a cubby system in the back for the fridge. The fridge was on a TemboTusk slide with cutting board option. I had a cubby for a camp chair and one for a camp table 7CE0A573-82D1-48AB-895B-0865C4CB9A00.jpegCD1C1E2D-2840-4D01-82A1-91BC2BEDAD70.jpeg7F14B49D-91C4-42ED-91AB-52E8DE45981B.jpegDCDF8A78-1B81-48D0-8AD9-4B9CC19B53B5.jpeg14D7C942-9380-4105-85A9-87BFF08C88A2.jpeg
