    I'm baffled!!!

    Hey guys
Has anyone here ever had this situation where your power steering pump cap is on properly. BUT!
The oil is at a very safe level, and it still manages to seep out in small amounts. I know the cap has to
breath. I search every which way for leaks and nothing, But there's oil around the cap. it has to be coming from the cap. This is ridiculous. Any thoughts? Thanks

Check for foaming, could be getting air in the system.

My cap decided to not stay closed for some reason (newer pump) so I ended up zip tying it down until I can work out a better solution or try a new cap.

Mine started doing that not long after I bought the truck new. I bought a new cap and that solved the problem.

Wow guys! Thanks I guess buying a new one is the way to go. Sorry to keep harping on this, but there's no seal on the cap itself
or on the lip of the the pump. I checked for foaming and nothing.... and Again I'm baffled. lol But thank you guys so much!!!

I found mine off several times. Original thought it was the service people who left it off.
Didn't take long for it to come off after I put it back on. Couldn't see anything wrong with mine either. Finally just bought a new one.

For a while H3s seemed to be losing their PS caps. I just gave Reloader a spare I had as his was missing.
