Possibly upgrading to H3T Alpha

So, some of you know I've had my H3 I-5 for a while now. I've always wanted the truck version with the V8 and front and rear lockers. The only issue is the prices seem very high, as I've looked at many H3T's over the last few months. The H3T's that run in the 15,000-25,000 range are the I-5's.The 2009-2010 H3T Alpha's with off-road package run between $24,000-$30,000 dollars!!
Its also interesting to mention that the actual value seems very difficult to determine...

I can tell you that almost all of the "Unicorn" H3T Alphas that I've found have been priced in the 28-30k price range and they've all sold pretty fast.

I had found a 2009 H3T Alpha in Arkansas that was newly listed for $23,400 and it was sold to a collector before real pictures were ever posted on the dealership website....

I guess it all comes down how badly I want one of these rare vehicles. if anyone else has any further information on what price is fair for one of these units please let me know, thanks

Backporch73, I wish the forum was more active. Sorry that you didn't get a response right away.

But what I can tell you is... these "Unicorn" H3T Alphas are just that, unicorns. It is getting harder and harder to find the "unicorn" T that has the lockers, leather, and the V8. And honestly, I think the 28-30k range is what they are truly worth, regardless of KBB/Edmunds (Which I think isn't true to the T). However, I have seen a couple of T's for sale recently that were much less than that.

Truth be told, I looked for my H3T Alpha for 6 months before I found my unicorn. Flew to GA to buy it in person, and paid more than KBB lol. I hope you find what you are looking for, a unicorn.

For anything limited production the KBB's of the world are usually not accurate. I think mileage and condition are the most determining factors for H3T Alpha off road trucks. If you want one pay what you are comfortable with to get what you want. There was a really nice silver one for sale here in town for 18K. Took awhile to sell. I-5 without the off road package. The longer you wait the more used and abused the vehicle will likely be.

It's a unicorn just not a pink unicorn

No lift
149k and climbing. Currently driving 130 miles a day 5 days a week
Tires are stock size 285 or 33" Tires will be replaced before sold so 35s are an option if we have a serious buyer. Hutchinson rims are not currently on the truck but will be included
Stock with the exception of the bumper and winch
