I've been lurking for a while, and finally decided to sign up.
I picked up my orange 08, manual H3 last year because I wanted an interesting daily driver / winter car. It's been pretty good to me in that time. It's big and dumb and not very practical, but it still puts a smile on my face when I drive it. My wife recently started talking about wanting to get a pop up trailer or a boat, and I just didn't want to try towing anything with this truck due to the lack of power.
So this 09 Championship Edition showed up a few hours away, and we jumped on it. It's got a nice list of upgrades, but a long list of problems. It's nothing too bad so far. It's just really worn out. I'm surprised it's as good as it is given it's a 193k mile truck that spent most of its life in harsh Chicago winters.
The orange truck will be up for sale once I finish a few other repairs on the silver truck. Then we'll hopefully see what kind of fun we can have with it.
