    2006 Rear locker for a 2009 Alpha

I just came across a complete 2006 locking rear differential that a guy is selling for $200.
The Hummer is being dismantled because of a blown engine. Mileage unknown.
I know the gear ratio is different but would the locker unit fit in my 2009?
Sorry if this has been discussed already, Iím a slightly tech-challenged Boomer.

    Thoughts?

If you have 35s, why dont you swap in the entire axle assembly in place of yours (assuming the axle is in good condition) and regear the front to match the rear 4.56 gears. That will give you a good bump in performance off the line!

Here is another idea, if the front diff is for sale, grab it and swap both front and rear axles. Saves you on regearing the front (but you will end up using an aluminum front diff which is weaker than the alphas cast iron)

Front diff is long gone. I was already considering swapping in 4:56 with aftermarket lockers front and rear. I figure this will save a ton of cash.
