After completely bending a stock tierod in half, leaving us stranded on side of a mountain in 2012 we set to work building a HD tierod set that matched the factory geometry. We had seen two different designs that used heims and DOM tubing but we knew from modeling similar designs that it moved the pivot point of the inner tierod out substantially which would cause serious toe change over suspension travel.
Our design uses a custom machined inner tierod that we sent out for testing and compared to a stock 16mm tierod (see results below). We have sold tons of these kits over the years and only recently have started to finally sell replacement inner tierods due to normal wear and tear. The out tierod is an off the shelf part number that is available anywhere making it easy to source. There is even a extreme duty version of the outer tierod we have found recently available.
Our previous manufacture that produced the difficulty 1144 stressproof adjuster sleeves went out of business so we have switched to a much larger company for production and we will have these in stock soon.
