We had a good first day in Moab doing Onion Creek and a couple of associated trails. We last did Onion Creek in 2012 but my transmission went out that day so we didn't complete the trail. Today, we got through it and were able to explore some mines.

Here's Woodtick with his Grand Cherokee

Another good day on the trails - Hell's Revenge today. All of my pics are available here in full-res. https://alrock.smugmug.com/Offroading-2018/Hells-Revenge-040218/

1 Scorpion then a mix of Hummers, Jeeps and Toyotas. 11 vehicles total, I think. No drama to be had today but we did have great weather and a lot of fun.
A nice shot of David's Scorpion

Apparently a broken axle on Rascole's rig doesn't count as drama anymore. [emoji16]

It was a fun ride, and my girls enjoyed it as well, aside from a few scary parts.

My 06 H3 most pin stripes didn’t happen or buffed out no problem, great factory paint. My 08 Cammander’s factory paint sucks and pin stripes easy. I’m very impressed with the 17 GC paint. I had to get personal with a few bushes and trees on Onion Creek,Yvette wasn’t liking being on the edge of some of those rock ledges. A few scuffs that came off with simple detailer. Of coarse the skids and sliders lost some .paint, but who cares. The body is scratch free. My bride is very happy.View attachment 23490View attachment 23491 I’m going to buy this rack and bring my tw200 out next time. My GC will never be a rock crawler, but the Yamaha will be at home in Moab.View attachment 23492View attachment 23494

Here's one of the NorCal Goats, John, on Escalator. He's done this before but a bit of bad luck had his passenger rear tire falling off of the line. He'll get it next time!

Yeah yeah yeah, But at least I've got the swap down to 15 minutes. Catch 22 is the Cardone warranty from Amazon means I keep getting free replacements. Hard to buy new AC Delco when you get free ones.

You did get that done pretty quickly, I was impressed. Good to hear they keep honoring the warranty.

Woah that's impressive! I need to start practicing before the con this summer. How long did it take the first time? Also how many times have you done it?

5 times. First time was in the driveway when I rebuilt the whole front end. Then twice last year and twice this year in Moab. The first my son was driving and it was a old cheap rebuild from O'Reilly's, the rubber boot just fell apart when I tugged on it and there was barely any grease, no previous leaks or tears, just poor assembly. The second was driver error (mine), 4Hi lock + asphalt + tight turns = POP.

Looks like fun, as always. Sorry we missed this year. But, for good reason. Our new projects has us building log homes and Steve quit his job at The Bird to learn how to build homes, a new trade. All good here for us and hope all is good for all. Hope to see everyone next year...

LOL, that's awesome man. Thanks for the video. White knuckle try for sure. If only that back tire didn't slip. I'll get it next year definitely.
