I also test fitted the 37s. I only have 1 wheel as the rest are backordered, they are Mamba M14's. I went with them because they are fat 7 spokes like the OEM ones i have now.

Everything clears just fine, I'll have to trim the front bumper wing for clearance to fully stuff the wheel.

Nice hummer you got here. How did you color match the grille? Maybe you could give me some tips how to take off the chrome. Thanks

I had a body shop do it. They bought a used painted grille and stripped it, not a chrome one. It's a alot easier to strip a factory painted one and paint it than a chrome one.

Okay thank you. I'll check and see if I can find one on ebay.

Don’t strip the chrome. Just scuff it up with a scotchbrite pad. Then prime & paint like normal.
Will it hold? I heard some people had problems getting the paint to adhere to chrome. I'll probably try to do what you said for now. Thanks!

Like 4speedfunk says, a quality prep and primer and your paint should stick. You can also use oven cleaner to strip the chrome if you don’t want to chance it.

CG, Love this clean build. Hope to do a similar front solid axle soon. Have you had it off road yet? I’d love to see how the front end performs.

No not yet I haven't, was waiting got the 37s, plus a break in period before I went and wheeled it. Soon hopefully!

Went and did some breakin wheeling at the badlands. Front bumper needs to be trimmed as you can see, however that's not completely full stuff, there is still a half inch of compression left in the bumpstop and shock I think.

Its dropping nicely though.

The lower gears and t case are a high difference on downhill descents compared to my previous h3, it just idles down at 600 rpms.

Did you go with the 4.56 gears? The 4:1 tcase alone makes a big difference, and when I switched to 4.56 from the 4.10s it woke the truck back up, especially when the engine is in a good mood.

I went with 4.88s since I have the Dana 44. It's very streetable on 37s, almost like a stock h3.

Yea I wasn't prepared for how much of a difference the 4:1 versus the 2:1 makes, its huge.

Trimmed the front bumper, makes flexing and wheeling way better lol

Also went on a breakin trip for the SAS, more than the other week, performed phenomenally well.

Installed some 7 inch led headlights. Used a 3d printed adapter courtesy of lased.design.

Here are the headlights and wiring harness I used to switch the negative polarity so that everything worked.

Curious to see how the 3d printed brackets hold up. Do they replace the entire OEM bracket or just the headlight portion that clips onto the adjusters?

They replace just the headlight part that presses onto the adjusters.
I did break one of the mounting parts on the adapters cuz I'm a dumba$$ and was hammering on it to get it to go on instead of sanding it down ever so slightly 100% my fault on that (See pic)
Otherwise they pop right on, fairly straight forward after that.
Heres a quick video of how they mount from the designer.

Here are some more finished pics of the new headlights.

You can barely see the white body that is behind the headlight assembly unless you're up close. Looks pretty factory.

I've also been getting my recovery gear sorted. Heres how I have it set up. All in a Ridgid 22 inch tool box.

-arb tree saver
-3x3/4inch shackles
shackles
-Dana 44 hub bearing socket
-ball joint socket
-not pictured is the arb sbatch strap, will be included once the return is processed.
-spare stock h3 tie rod for anyone that needs it (found it in a box)
-gloves
-ill add tools as needed for when I actually go wheeling.

Winch controller is in the small stock cubby off to the side.
