They are temporary (good thing they were cheap) temporary because they don't throw the light down the road as far as they claimed to. They are awesome trail lights though, extremely bright and a wide, wide pattern. I want them to go way down the road to spot deer/elk while i am crusing rural roads in Colorado. I will be going back to the hella 500s i have had on previous rigs. The hella 500s reach way out there..
I want to be able to use them as my brights at night on those back country roads. It's a pain to have to reach out to the dash every time i want them turned on or off. They are already on a switch that is right next to the steering column. Coming around a corner, down shifting, does not leave my hand free to dim the lights for oncoming traffic. Foot switch is the easy solution...

    The lights:

    The switch:

    Installed and ready to use:

Thatís how my old 77 f100 high beams work. Switch on the floor from the factory. Much more comfortable if you ask me, even if you had an automatic.

Wasn't happy of the placement on the wiring harness. Went back and cleaned it up.

    Nice work!
I can see why you have it mounted that way but it seems it would be better to clock it abit so it doesnt drag on the ground and damage that connector pointing downwards if you do some offroading.

dont you want to get your compressors out from under the truck? Not sure they will like deep water, snow or ice? Snow and Ice are probably not an issue for you

I have had offroad lights on several rigs over the last 20 years, I have alwasy said I was going to do this mod to one of them... Easily my favorite mod so far.

When i bought the h3 it had one key that would start the truck, but would not open the door. This weekend i swapped out the ignition cylinder and the lock cylinder for new parts with matching keys. Easy job...

Been wanting to keep some oh $hit tools and a impact gun with me at all times. Was looking high and low for a box or case that wouldn't eat too much space in the bed. Seeing how the high lift jack gets in the way at times, I thought under it would be a perfect spot, this is what I came up with!

Replaced a ton of stuff up front. New hubs, wheel bearings, upper control arm, lower ball joint, tie rods, sway bar links. Was a full weekend project but glad I did it. Had never worked on suspension stuff so the balljoint pressing was fun lol. I also started bleeding the brakes with the calipers off the rotors which added some time and aggravation to the project lol. I was like (damn why canít I get any pressure) LOL. Insane increase in drivability as all parts were 223k miles old. Glad I did it and it turned out that horrible grinding i heard was the wheel bearing so glad I donít have to replace the diff like thought I did.
