I cleaned the rust spots off the grille guard and painted it with truck bed liner. Looks better than new and I found a use for my gambrel when it's not hunting season.

Trucks coming along great. Hit a small snag this week as the Lincoln locker failed. Had a good run and it took a beating. Lookin into swapping in a 14 bolt prior to moab.

H3T Alpha Brush Guard --- Installed

Bought a new brush guard a few months ago and finally got around to installing it.

Had to drill new mounting holes up since I have the 1" body lift in addition to the Rancho lift.

Love it, and compliments the newly painted body-matched grill rather well.

Cranked through a lot of things in the past couple of months, but she's finally back on all 4s.
New:
-Yukon Chromoly axle shafts
-diff cover bolts
-wheel bearings
-ball joints (both sides)
-solid axle forged spindles (old ones looked wrong, like the bearing was spinning on the spindle, figured id rather be safe than sorry)
-Spindle bearing
-axle seals
-hub seals
-lockouts
-re routed a ram assist line
-new headlights
-Belt tensioner (old one was visibly wobbling)

Still need to adjust the alignment and add diff fluid, but the big stuff is done
Ill re check the wheel bearing preload after putting some miles on it.

I found a never-installed defelice winch bumper, got a Warn M8000 for it, and installed some grill lights after plastidipping out the chrome. No more switch blanks!

Started working on some half doors. Just doing the driver door for now. I got it all cut, next step is to get some sheet metal and weld a top to it.

Did some more work on my half door. Worked on getting the inner and outer panels level, and test fitted it. Up next will be to cut the top piece and weld it on.

Man. I’m blown away by some peoples skills, or even bravery. I think highly of myself and am super capable of anything I try….but dammit…I wouldn’t chop doors….weld sheet metal onto them and make it work. Good for you! I’m jealous haha.

That's a great project. Looking at the pics of it in place on the truck, I wonder; what about leaving the upper portion of the door in place (too late now, I know, but...) and cutting out the entire area that you have other than around the edges? That way there is still a complete frame that covers the doorframe/rubber seals while still providing the larger opening?

I had thought of that at one point, and possibly adding a vinyl type of window kinda like jeeps have, i think that would work pretty well if you could make it look nice, some of the exposed A and B pillar stuff isn't the prettiest to look at. Only down side to that is added size and weight. It would be cool for someone to do that though!

Ordered a 14 bolt steer axle, will run 35 spline super duty 60 axles, 05+ super duty 60 C's and knuckles. Will get 35 spline ARB air locker witch requires the thick gears.

So changing axles, if ever needed is as simple as pulling the tire and rotor, than 4 nuts for removing the unit bearing.
