When was a kid, my neighbor had that same truck for a farm beater. I drove it when I was 11 or so. I never got used to the angled cab doors...it always felt like you weren't driving straight. Cool truck.

why the hate on coilovers? coilovers ride light-years better then buggy springs. With your Jeep, I'd seriously look at grafting a JK suspension under it... with how popular they are, finding a rolled Jeep should be easy.

Another thing. We put an sm420 military transmission in mounted to the stock dana spicer 18 (nicknamed old spice) transfer case, and I'm wondering what engine should I pair to this setup? I would like it to be powerful and easy to use.

Not hating, but doing coilovers and links on an old jeep is as much work as SAS on an H3. So it may or may not be worth the work time and money.
