I was tail gunner for most of this trip so I didn’t get to take very many pictures, but here is was I did get.
Alex on power pole hill. Since he doesn’t have lockers he threw some dirt, but he made it up! I locked both front and rear lockers and took all the challenge out of it. Maybe someday I’ll try it unlocked.
While we were doing power pole hill a red Dodge Ram pickup went buy and the driver, who was drinking, made a comment that Hummers are too wide for the obstacles on Cleghorn. Then he started following us and watching us on the obstacles, so I took a picture of him with 14x zoom.
That was the last we saw of him. I guess he wasn’t photogenic.
Here is a scenic view from the top.
And a zoomed view of the lake.
It was a tight fit at spots for the H1’s.
Some off camber parts.
The group stopped for lunch.
Here is the first obstacle on 2N17X.
2N17X turned into a rollercoaster of a trail affording some nice views of Hummers strung out ahead of us.
Then it got dark and the trail got more challenging. Serge decided to make it interesting. Serge has one wheel a full diameter in the air, but the camera doesn’t show how steep the hill is that he is on.
Serge with tow stray connected.
Once Zach tensioned the tow strap Serge was better grounded.
Here is the line of Hummers behind Serge. Mine is the last set of headlights on top of the hill in the distance.
The group at Claim Jumper.
