H3 Hummer Quick & Easy Bluetooth

The H3 Hummer Quick & Easy Bluetooth device is a plug and play 4.0 Bluetooth device for the H3 Hummer. The Device uses the North American factory equipped XM Satellite Radio left and right audio channels to deliver the audio to the OEM Radio. The Quick & Easy Bluetooth doesn’t require a subscription with XM to work. When the H3 Hummer Quick & Easy Bluetooth is put into the off position, XM services works completely unaffected. Operation of the device uses an OEM H3 Hummer Off-Road Light switch that plugs into a factory slot in the dash.

Very cool. I am going to need to get one of those. Does the OEM off-road light switch come with this?

    Couple questions:

How hard is the jumper part? It's hard to tell from the pics and brief description what exactly you have to do.

Also, on your auxiliary in option you sell, you mention you get some interference if your phone is still plugged in but the music is paused. Is that also true of the Bluetooth model or does this option fix that?

I don't have to do anything other than turn it on now. When the device is turned on, it is always trying to pair, until it is connected to. To pair, simply search for it and connect.

As simple as unplugging the wire, and plugin it in.

Only when it is paused, yes the interference is still there. This isn't something that you should even worry about, the issues is so minor that I wish I never mentioned.

Also, I found your old thread when you first announced you were developing this and you were trying to use the onstar phone button by the lights. At that time you gave more details about the phone call feature of the blue tooth. Obviously there is no mic, so you'd have to be on speaker to talk, but is the blue tooth only linked when your on xm? Or if you have it linked, but we're listening to the fm radio or a cd and you got a call, would it kick it over to xm automatically and you could hear the caller through the speakers? Or would you have to manually change to xm first?

This is just a device to play music using bluetooth.

When you are sitting in the H3 Hummer's driver seat, if you look up there is a microphone right above your head. This device doesn't use the OnStar microphone, but there is one there.

Sorry man, I'm unable to order more of a particular part that is key to making this product.

I personally think that this is an inferior product now that Android Auto and Apple Carplay exist. If you look at the Sony XAV-AX100 it looks nearly identical to the factory navigation unit that the H3 Hummer was originally equipped with. I even have created a Hummer background image specifically to make it look even more factory. I have developed a plug an play adapter so that I can connect the factory OnStar Microphone to the radio, and also a simple solution for mounting a back-up camera inside the spare tire.

Turn by Turn directions, nearly factory look, back-up camera, hands-free calling, text to speach and speech to text are just a few reasons to ditch that clunky factory radio and enjoy the same modern amenities of a brand new vehicle.
