Similar thing happened to me as well. There was no outward sign anything was out of the ordinary with the hose. Mine was also an '08 left front.

If it's the blower resistor that you are referring to, there was a recall on that. If that's what it is, the problem will only get worse until it quits working altogether.

Hummer EV is cool, but I'm waiting until these things come up years from now on government auctions. It's basically a Colorado on steroids after chugging a case of Red Bull. Looks pretty cool....

Don't know if this necessarily applies to the H3, but I do rember some posts on an F Body board about the throttle position sensor causing this. Good luck getting it sorted out.
