I don't have a good number but they're heavy (depending what yours is). 500lbs sounds kind of high. But throw a winch on it and *boom* you need to think about the suspension and stress on other parts...
That was my original thought too... Guess depends on what you want to do. These are fairly expensive vehicles to own (in my experience and some other owners I know), so bank some money for parts,...
Nice. Seems like it should have pretty good rearward visibility out of that. Jeeps are very customizable. Should have a ton of fun in it!
(got a couple Jeeps myself)
Well Said! (I feel that way about my H3.)
I think H3 prices will drop even more when the Bronco comes out. Everyone's going to want one, and Jeep will have heavy rebates on the Wrangler to try...
Thanks for the info.
The Humvee is pretty wide, so maybe that's the inspiration...
That's funny, glad to hear I'm not the only one who thought Cactus Gray was an interesting color.
I'm not defecting to a Bronco anytime soon either -- just wanted to see what one would cost. I...
I was blown away by the price too! A guy could buy a new Bronco for HALF the price ...and the Bronco looks cooler IMO.
It's a halo vehicle for GM: a starting place for a serious transition to...
Here's the problem the early iteration of H-EV is going to have: As much of a fan I am of the new Hummer-EV, I just configured a brand new 4dr Bronco (the configurator just 'hit' on Ford's site this...
Here's how I look at it: The first year EV-H's are going to be the $115k variety. Even the second year GM said they would produce the $90k variety (on up $). You're not going to see any $40k Hummers...
I don't think the new one looks as nice as the H3.
I think I read 13" suspension articulation (Motor Trend.com). They have tons of pictures ...like 90 pics
....sorry if someone already posted it.
I haven't been able to get a real sense by the videos or images, but it looks like the new Hummer will be larger than the H3. Are there specs that were released?
I too give GM credit for going 'ground-up' on the innovations. I'm also in the camp where I can't see spending that much on a new rig (gas or electric). Not yet. Plus, IMO the H3 actually looks...
Oh, I DEFINITELY agree with you!! Ha ha...
And that older Land Rovers are great rigs too!! (I guess I left '98 Disco off my list of vehicles)
Styling is ok, but looks a lot like an Avalanche (which I've never really liked). I'm sure there'll be different styles (SUV/Truck, etc). $70k is a lot, but maybe there'll be an incentive by then....
You might consider going to the H3 manual and read through the section on airbags if you haven't already. One of the best parts of any GM manual (for any section/topic) is the Description section...
Chances that would happen are really low, but....
Something to consider: if you plan to hang on to your H3 for a long time, might be a worthwhile investment to consider getting a 'good' scan tool...
I would check the fluid level per the manual. Does it smell burnt? Then go on to a visual check of the connectors, hoses, etc. Esp a cracked vacuum hose. You may want to put a vacuum gauge on it too....
Well, does that $700 include new hoses and a flush ..anything else? Also, maybe the new radiator comes from the dealer too. Then you have to figure labor. Shops don't keep the lights on by giving...
You should take it to your trusted mechanic, or dealer and see what they say. I get the impression from reading your account, that would be a good course of action. It's hard to say what the issue...
Read the troubleshooting tree in the link above, it should narrow down where the problem is. I suspect there are some ohm readings you can take with a multimeter and figure out if a motor burned out....
Interesting to know. Thanks for sharing that tip....
Can you hear the heater box doors move, if you change the dial from defrost to heat ...and vent settings?
If you move the dial from cold to hot (and back) can you hear a door move?
I haven't had...
How do you know your sensor is 'bad'? Are you sure the airbags didn't deploy at some point? I would pull off the B-pillar plastic and ohm out the seatbelt tensioners. I don't know if a 'chinese'...
Read the ENTIRE General Description in pages 324 and beyond in this link if you haven't already. It tells you how the entire system works:...
