Got the carplay headunit installed. For $105 shipped from amazon it works surprisingly well. Takes just a couple seconds to boot up when you start the truck, and about 5-7 seconds to auto-connect to my cellphone and start Carplay. Very happy with the end results.

Here is the kit that you need to purchase that includes the wiring adapter and the antenna connector. It fits most GM, GMC, and Chevrolet vehicles including the Hummer: https://amzn.to/3gM9jVR

And here is the Carplay headunit that I purchased and installed: https://amzn.to/3XMerKk

And here's the video of me digging through the dash and doghouse to find the old wiring :)

I upgraded the interior dome lights and the reading / map lights to LED. I went through 5 sets of LED bulbs before I finally found the set that I liked. I was wanting the brightest light without being too harsh on my eyes. The ones I finally got installed are fantastic. The difference at night is absolutely amazing!

Here's the full video of the install step by step, and comparison between the old factory lights versus the new upgraded LED lighting. All the links for the bulbs I bought and used are in the video description.

Upgraded from the old mirror to a new frameless mirror with Homelink garage door opener buttons!!! Very happy with the upgrade. Now I no longer have to carry my garage door opener remote, and I don't have to stare into a broken auto-dimming mirror anymore!

Got the rest of the 394mil sound deadener installed on the roof. Got the rear section of the new headliner installed. And all the trim back.
What do you think of the color scheme with the black headliner with the ivory/white colored trim pieces and the two tone black/brown seats?

I was hesitant ordering from an eBay seller. But these were such a good price I had to get a set of 4 ordered. Brand new AMGeneral 12k shocks. They came in today and they're brand new in OEM AMGeneral packaging and all with the correct part numbers and everything. If you want new shocks, $39 bucks each with free shipping is pretty hard to beat!!

Found out why the blower motor wasn't working. Old wasp next was blocking it from spinning. Slapped it a couple times and it started spinning, but was off balance. Pulled it out and found the old wasp nest. Good as new again. Now it's time to vacuum out all the refrigerant, check for a good seal, and charge it back up.

Here's the video, you'll get a kick out of it.

When Ian Ward was working on the H1 for me I had him install the RubberDuck manual wastegate controller:

I drive like an old man, gently, in no rush to get anywhere. But I like to make sure that everything is adjusted properly across the entire throttle/load range. I noticed the DTC code pop up a few times for over-boost over the last few weeks. I took some time this week to adjust the manual wastegate controller's spring tension. Took a few drives between adjustments while gently rolling into full throttle to make sure the code does not come back. All set and back to being within what the factory ECM wants to see for boost pressures.

I guess it must have been very slightly off, but not much. I don't really notice a difference in power. And all seems to be running pretty much the same and healthy. But glad to know that even under full load or going up hill the boost pressure is now staying where the factory ECM wants it to.

Meomi and an H1? This guy gets it

Seriously though, awesome build. Can't wait to binge your YT videos when I have the time
My wife likes the Meomi. I'm more of a Prisoner fan when it comes to reds. But my typical glass has bourbon or scotch in it.

For some of the folks that are still on the fence about getting a Tech2 scanner, thinking your OBD2 scanner has you covered. Just bite the bullet and get a Tech2 or a Tech2 clone. Even if you don't need it to program anything, it is pretty much a necessity when it comes to troubleshooting little things here and there. If you have a Hummer, just buy one. Quick glance at some of the main data it shows in this clip:

I loved the look of the original factory stereo. But like a lot of you mentioned, I missed my CarPlay and my apps.

This is the unit I bought now. I think this one is perfect for the 2004/2006 Alpha interior.

Ditched the 7inch screen and went with this 10inch unit. Has a lot of height and angle adjustability so I could get it positioned exactly where I wanted. Fits perfectly between the AC vent and Climate control without covering either one. The display is surprisingly sharp and plenty bright. And it’s very fast with no lag. And right out of the box it connected easily to both my iPhone and my Google Pixel. Sounds great too. Very happy with this one, and at $200 it’s a steal! I’ll do a full video on the install soon.

Finally got the decibel measurements recorded and uploaded for the before and after of the sound deadening on the Hummer H1. This is using the Dynamat/Kilmat style 80mil material on the doors and the 394mil closed cell sound deadening material on the roof.

Here is the exact 394mil closed cell sound deadening I purchased and installed: https://amzn.to/3K8soxR

Here is is the 80mil Kilmat (dynamat 80mil alternative) that I purchased and installed: https://amzn.to/3YgiAWu

Installation roller for the Kilmat/Dynamat: https://amzn.to/40GZf2k

Bafx sound decibel meter SPL Sound Pressure meter that I used: https://amzn.to/40HcQqD

PMD Failed over the weekend. Got it replaced and all's operating as normal again. I'll be mocking up a very large heatsink to replace the other one that most people use. Should help to keep the PMD cooler.

The new extra large heatsink that I'll be replacing the current heatsink with, for size comparison. It's much larger, with a lot more cooling fin surface area

New upgraded parts should be here in the next few days
* Raptor lift pump
* Feed the beast upgraded fuel line
* Two new Dorman/Flight Systems "XD" PMD's
* SS Fuel pressure tap

In the meantime, the H1 has been running great everyday and feeling healthy. But this morning I went to start it, started up and just turned off after about 30 seconds. Did some troubleshooting with disconnecting the optical sensor and then the crank sensor to rule those out. Checked all fuses and relays. Checked all the pins in the PMD connector for proper voltage and resistance per the service manual. Checked fuel flow (not pressure). Checked for water in the fuel filter. And then finally played musical chairs with the three PMD's I have in my possession. Two of them which I know failed at this point. The oldest PMD I have finally started the truck right up.

I'm not going to drive it until I get the Raptor high flow lift pump installed, along with the FTB line. I really have a feeling at this point that the factory lift pump is just tired and causing issues. Who knows, I might be wrong, but we will find out in a few days.

And as always, video update below

I ordered the $650-ish Modmafia dual PMD heatsink. But while I'm waiting, I wanted to get a dual PMD setup with a large heatsink installed, so I made my own :)

It was fairly cheap to do, and actually came out okay in my opinion. Here's the step by step I went through along with trial and error, incase you want to do the same:

Got the ModMafia Dual PMD heatsink and battery tie down bracket installed today. Had it sitting for a couple months in the garage and finally got time to put it on. I gotta admit, it’s pretty nice. Very nicely machined and the anodizing seems well done. And it was a perfect fit. Video of the install if you’re curious how it looks and fits on the H1.

They can get the color leather to match we used to be a retailer for them and I dont know the details but they did some work for the hummers at some point and knew exactly what I was looking for when I finally got to the right person when I was shopping to match the leather color in an H3.

I've used Katzkin for various vehicles over the years, didn't think of them for an H1. Worth checking out for sure.!
