This was our 4th trip to the Naches area. The last couple of trips have been focused on gaining access to Moon Rocks and Funny Rocks, two well known wheeling spots but poorly mapped. Last summer our quest was cut short due to a forest fire in the area. We headed up this year determined to reach our goal.

We headed up the 676 trail as we had been told this was the way to Moon Rocks. Due to some rain overnight the trail was very muddy. We came to a hill that even Scarsman couldn't climb.

He showed off his winching skills as he backed himself down the hill.

The previous year we had run this trail with some locals, due to a road closure the main route in was closed and this was the alternative. This year the road was open so we decided to try our luck on that road.

The going was much better on this road. You even had your choice of hill climbs.

Scarsman helped with some trail maintenance

We made it to the ridge line that looked similar to areas we explored last year.

We came to a T in the trail and decided to go left, then changed our minds and went right. A short distance ahead we came through some trees and saw this.

We had found Moon Rocks!! Well at the time we thought for sure it was Funny Rocks, but then later confirmed that it was Moon Rocks. And that Funny Rocks was just a short drive from where we were. This is all one big rock formation, with lots of area to test your truck.

This was something we hadn't experienced before. You could pick your lines, choose your obstacles, it was awesome!

There were some areas that were not accessible, but plenty of areas to explore.

We had fun choosing some difficult areas to crawl.

It was quite a unique area and someplace we will definitely be exploring again.

The next day we did some exploration on the Kaner Flats trail. We had run the beginning of the trail before, but hadn't explored past the first steep hill climb.
Parts of the trail were still muddy with tight corners

We then came to Aardvark Hill. This is a well known hill climb and we could see why.

This image does this hill no justice. On the left was a gnarly climb with a rutted section halfway up. On the right was not as bad, but a dog leg left halfway up. We left this challenge for another trip, we were sure we could get the H2 up the hill, but not sure how I would make it with no winch and less traction.

It was a great trip with some great trails. Each time we come to this area we find another reason to come back. Thanks to Scarsman and his boys for a great time!

It was a great trip! Aside from waking up to rain, and water in the tent!

That first hill was really slimy and after giving it a good try I ended up a little over the edge of the trail. I gave it a "bold"try as there were nice huge trees to anchor to, so I want to worried about not getting out. I was able to winch back up on the trail and then back down.

I only have a few pics on my phone. I'll post them now and then more from my camera later. I'll have some video too add soon as my son gets it edited. We had some good crawling on the rocks!

There were several very step muddy hill climbs that required some good wheel spin to get up. We hit one "shortcut" that I was amazed I got up.

Ok, take II!

This was a short steep climb with a sharp turn around a tree at the bottom so you could not get a run at all.

Looking at these pics make me realize I live in a chit hole. I may have to rethink retirement . Between these and Ramrods photos I don't know.

Here is one video. This was a looong hill climb up a step meadow. It was wet and slick and we were spinning all the way up. As usual the video doesn't really show how long and steep it really was.
