I'm not a big Jeep fan but I respect and love the wranglers with a bed on them. Seen the Discount Tire RESQ1 as ads on all types of sites and today found the build thread. All I say is F%$& MIND BLOWING, I would kill to have this thing and they did everything right, well maybe the tire mount system could go but everything else is top notch.

Maybe one day when I make it big I'll try and buy it when they retire it and make it my own.

Pretty badass truck, I'm not sure about the spare tire mounting though. I guess you have to make something work for 2 40" spares.

They had some problems with engine overheating, I guess fiat engines are not designed for a descent load. I was at ORE when they build it. Just like any "fast" build it has some unfinished stuff.

The fiat engine was replaced with a 5.3L GM v8 and atlas tranny, b/c of those issues. It would of been cool if they replaced it with a Cummins, like Project Rattle Trap.

They plan to shave 3000 lbs off the current weight. It will be interesting to see how thy hack it up.

ORE does hemi swaps, are you sure it's not that. I know Mel likes GM but in jeeps they mostly do hemis.

^^^ we had that truck with on LCC, it was a different owner. Now Mel uses it as his DD, guy that builds high end jeeps for a living prefers GM :)
