Hi,
I've had my 2003 H2 for over a year now and was hoping to get contact with some other Hummer owners for some wheeling.
I have been in the process of building up the H2 the past year. I live in on the west side of Wisconsin, right on the Mississippi river. I have done some off roading with past jeeps that I've owned, some private land trails, but nothing too serious. I am now getting "some" **** from my jeep buddy's about moving up to the Hummer..I have been a long time Jeep owner, just didn't off road them to the degree that they have.

So I was hoping to get some input on a couple upgrades....looking at putting the Rancho 4" lift, maybe upgrading the front suspension, front lockers to name a few. I still wheel with them on occasion and have to make sure to get through anything they can handle...the whole jeep vs. hummer thing.. Only issue so far is I tend to be too big. :)
I see that a group of you had done a Drummond Island trip this past summer and from what I saw was the kind of thing I'm interested in.

I will take some pictures and post them up next week.. out of town till then.

Welcome to the forum. :cheers: I don't have an H2 but have owned a few jeeps and there are others here who have owned & wheeled Deuces, then jeeps, then jeeps then Deuces. i'm sure that they will chime in shortly and offer their ideas. If this guy named Twinmill happens to appear, just know that he is into Deuces & chrome! :giggle: :wink:

Welcome, like the other posters I am in an H3 so I am not much guidance to you in the H2 ballpark but welcome and there are plenty of guys around here who have good advice on H2's. All I have seen in person is Zach's H2 front locker doing its thing and it seems to help alot lol.

Hello and Welcome from MI. No joking, Drummond Island is my favorite place on earth. Wheeling, Fishing, Hunting, Water Sports, Spectacular Views and Small Town Atmosphere. I try to get up there 4-5 times per year minimum.

Welcome! There are a few of us in the area that wheel (WI, IA and IL). You're welcome to come on runs with us when we have them. There is one planned right now for the Badlands in Attica, Indiana on November 5-6, but that might be too far out of your way or too short notice. Right now, it's all H3s on that run.

You should link up with Chastan, he's over in Reedsburg and wheels an H2. Does Drummond Island too.

Welcome to H4O from So Cal.

I can't help much with the H2 upgrades and advice, I wheel an H3T, but I can sympathize regarding the Jeeps. Arrogance is unbecoming.

I tell them, we should all choose our words carefully, because some day we may need to eat them.

Everybody breaks down and when they need a tow over rough terrain, they'll want a deuce.

I would love to but I will be heading out to the Packers game in San Diego over that weekend.

Also let me know if you are ever coming through the dells where I work so we can meet up and I can check out your rig.

I'll let you know. I drive through the dells about once a month. Also spent plenty of time at the casino playing cards there. :)

Welcome,

I wheeled with a couple with a red H1 up in Maine who were from Wisconsin. Can't remember their names but they travel all over the country to events.
