You have two choices
Reiter Hills - between Monroe and Steven's Pass

or Walker - Mt. Vernon

Other than that, you can take the Mt. Loop Scenic Hwy (between Darrington and Granite Falls) and there are short options that spur off from the highway (it's 1/3 gravel)

Be sure and let someone know where you're going and when you'll be back - there's little cell phone service at any of those areas. If you don't make it back, we'll come find you (SCVSAR ;))

Dang it. I really wish I could go with y'all tomorrow but no can do. :sigh: But our group has been to both Darrington and Granite Falls. And we're long overdue to go to both places again. We all had a blast at both trails. I searched for our Darrington post on here a minute ago but didn't find anything (might be on the 'old' forum??), but here's the link to last year's trip to Granite Falls. The snow was awesome, but I'm not sure if you'll find snow at this time of the year like we did. We made this trip around the end of January 2012. These photos might get you a little pumped up to go. :)http://www.hummer4x4offroad.com/for...r-Fun-Day-Jan-28-2012&highlight=Granite+FallsHave fun tomorrow! I wouldn’t mind doing Reiter Hills or Walker ……. Maybe could be our next group venture out? :corn:

Well, we went to Walker, had fun playing in the open area that i think is the rock pit. Made it i think about 3/4 up Upper Mainline, nearly soiled myself a few times, then turned around.
For my first run, i think i did ok, but i honestly wasnt looking for that much of a challenge. After we made it back safely to the main road we headed to Mountain Loop Hwy via Lake Cavanough. Once we hit MLH we took one of the first off chutes we saw and really enjoyed that for several miles before turning back.
We had a full day. Left home at about 9 and got back at 5.

Hi. Anyone settle on a location yet? I have a white H3 that's looking for good group to go with. How about Tahuya park?

I've never done Tahuya - problem for me is I'm generally on call in Snohomish County on the weekend... if I'm at Reiters or Walker, I can easily respond - not so much if I'm at Shelton.... with that said I'm not against it, so if you set it up - I'll do my best to show

It's been ages since I took mine out. We did a short drive in the woods near Ollalie State a Park (off of I-90) this summer. Let the kids take their guns and bow and arrows, so we made an afternoon of it. Will try and check this site more frequently, so I don't miss the next run!
