Wedscr (Disco), Tromp (TJ) and I went the Backway to Crown King yesterday. This used to be a very challenging trail with lots of optional and required obstacles. Now, it is mostly an access road for emergency access to (and egress from) the mountain town of Crown King.

Crown King is at nearly 6000' elevation so after rains from the day before we started with mud and ended with snow on the ground. We found a few modest obstacles but simply spent most of our time enjoying a nice drive, fun in the mud and snow and enjoying some shallow water crossings. I finally got to try out my new GoPro and used that alongside my old Flip video.

Looks like it was a great ride. Been a few years since I've ran that route, awesome when it is raining and snowing since that is a rarity here.
