Today me, my brother in the JK, my buddy in the ZJ and his 2 friends in an XJ and ZJ went out for some run in the rocks, mud and snow.
The sluice box claimed yet another victim today, actually 2 victims. My buddy in the ZJ dented in his door more and my brother destroyed his rear quarter panel :whaa: I felt terrible, this time we put him on the same line as last time but this time he got damage. We believe it was from the fenders, When trimmed they offer much less cushion.
Luckily they have aftermarket support so he is looking into getting the damage fixed and then putting on rear corner guards and fenders so he can smack down on it without worry, kinda like a secondary slider.
I didnt do the sluice this time but a buddy and I did try the other obstacle
I am once again amazed at this setup. It was extremely muddy so getting traction was a bit tough but this rancho setup/spring over kicks ass! Either way neither me or devyn made it all the way up but I got further then I thought I would! lol
Then we hit the road to go up to frazier, just an exit past gorman.
The duratracs hooked up so well in the snow!
While leaving one of the snow trails we passed a small cabin with people flagging us down. A church was having a retreat and were leaving tomorrow but they couldnt get the van to move. They called in a 4WD dodge cummins but he couldnt pull em out so we came down to help. I pulled but had the jeeps ready to help me if I had issues.

All in all the day was great and it was fun. I just feel bad for my brother :sigh: "been there done that" with body damage.
