The lower profile look is a joke though, The Vr-8000 is lower than the Zeon 8, Vr-10000 is lower than the Zeon 10, and the 12,000 too if aren't including the winch solenoid box. What they should really say is "Get this more expensive and BA looking winch that can look like a low profile winch but still look cooler." :giggle:
Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Warn and think that they're the best winches.
I have had a lot of bad experiences with synthetic ropes failing a lot and I really think steel wire would have shrugged what ever caused it to brake off like an ant on your coat given the same circumstances. I'm not saying steel doesn't brake, I just think steel is more reliable, and much easier to maintain given that it's pretty clear when it needs to be replaced.
