View Full Version : HUNNER EXtreme spring/shock SKIDS

I hope to have 10 sets in about two weeks or more. Just a little slow this time. Post up if you need them. I will go by the list when I get them, no money until I have them.

Laser cut from 1/4 pickled steel 10/10. The brackets are indexed in a slot for alignment and strength and welded on top and bottom. Gussets on the taller one. Holes in brackets are elongated for wiggle room installing. Bottom holes are big enough for a heavy impact socket.
I media blast them so they are ready to paint.
New design change has the rear skid angle "start" back 1 1/2" to allow extra clearance for bigger shock mounting eyes (Bilstein) but I am running the old style with Bilsteins, no problem.
$165 for a pair of rear and front hanger skids. Including shipped flat rate, 3 day to most anywhere (as long as the Post Office stays in business)

The fronts have gone thru some changes. The angle back has increased which shortened the upturned part.

The next batch will have even a shorter length on the bent up area to allow even more clearance for people that are disconnecting the anti-sway bars.
The rears now start the angled back further back now allowing for larger shock eyes and are lower under the spring.

I put in an order for 15 sets and a few xtra fronts. I have 7 of the full sets spoken for and will still put anyone on the list that wants them when I get them. Bad news is they can cut them here fairly soon but all the presses are jigged up for a two shift until they are done contract for Snap On so it may be a while. Not sure how long but I will stay on it.

I guess I have this in more than one place and I try to keep them updated.
Old place quit making them, place they recommended dropped the ball, new place today says they will give me a quote in a couple of days and would like my business.
So lets see what happens.
I have a long list now but anyone wanting these speak up.
As it is set now I will order 40 sets but have 28 spoken for.

I got your pm, just for others to know,

I just got back from the fabricator, thru rain, sleet snow and ice but I drive an H3! lol
Not yet, the weather here has them delayed, now. Hopefully when this clears up they will finally get made. I paid them for them so I would have the cost to offset the income for this year. Congress will probably take us off the cliff and taxes will hit me hard without the deductions.
Great motivation for small business!
I got you on the list but those that pay are first. I think there may be 4 sets not paid for.
If you want to reserve a set this batch will be $215 shipped. The only way I can do this again will be to get enough orders to justify it. I must have saturated the market with over 150 sets.
