H2 Tire Carrier snapped bolt

Hey all, got an H2 question. A friend of mine in CO has an H2 that has a snapped bolt in the rear D-Ring(tire carrier) where it attaches to the bumper. Tailgate appears to now be very loose, are there known problems with aging bolts on this tire carrier? any help appreciated...

Bummer about the snapped bolt but what's the deal with the "H2YBRID" sticker??

I have never heard of any issues. That is the better of the two styles of carrier there were, too. Maybe someone added the carrier to the truck and over torqued the bolt? That would be my guess.

Mine was broke off when I got it, we had to weld another bolt to it to get it out.
