Anybody ever make a tailgating flag pole?

I'm wondering what anyone has done to make a tailgating flag pole. I'm thinking just connecting a few pieces of pvc together in like 5 or 6 foot sections and I guess zip tying it to a tow hook and the roof rack lol. Has anyone come up with a better base that is pretty low cost?

I have one similar to that I fly my US flag on on Memorial Day, July 4th and Veteran's Day. Fits in the hitch mount.
