Sleeping platform

I recently made a sleeping platform for my H3 and thought that it probably could be interesting to share it here. Please let me know your thoughts.

Very nice set up. If I hadn't spend both arms and both legs on my canvas tent last year, this is something I'd be REALLY interested in doing. Especially because you don't have to remove the rear seats like a saw a lot of people doing years ago

Thanks. Yes, to me it is convenient. I spent about 250 bucks and 40 hours overall. 3/4" plywood, regular carpet, etc;...

I have a stack of big cardboard boxes in garage waiting to do the exact same thing. Only difference, I was going to have a drop down interior tailgate for a cooking work station, a large central drawer, and a flip up lid on the side for cubby/battery power storage. Yours looked really nice.

Anyhting that makes your Hummer more useful to you is a good idea.

nice job! i'm willing to bet some 3/16" or 1/2" plywood would've done the trick with a lot less weight (for anybody else making one).
i've got the same deal for the back floorboard of my dodge 2500, and it makes laying back there pretty nice - i'm sure yours is even better with actual room to stretch out.

my bad - i actually meant 9/16 (just over 1/2").
3/16 would be a bit flimsy!
