North Carolina Mountain Ride

Anyone in NC or TN in doing a ride in the mountains? Not looking to do anything crazy just riding forest roads and back country dirt roads through the mountains. I used to ride mountain roads out in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming with friends. Biggest stuff we did was climb like 45 degree grades and cross streams that were like 2 feet deep. Basically just get out and enjoy so views without killing our trucks.

There's a guy called Mike that's on this forum that's always going on trail rides. I think he goes by the name telemike and is from Greensboro NC. I'm in the Raleigh area, but I'm overseas so no Hummer for me for a few months.

I know of the shop that built your H3 or at least parts of it, I live like 2mi from there. You work there or just have them do stuff?

Are you talking about ECGS? I don't work for them. They really helped out finishing off the build. When I left Cali, the truck was from from finished.

I would be game as well. Getting to the mountains from the coast is a bit of a haul though.

It's a quite way for me but I might be interested.

Been offline here for a while. Most of the mountain roads are graded gravel roads these days. The FS contractors just take a grader and make the FS roads so you can take a corvette down them I haven't had time to do them, but I think there are some better FS roads in Georgia and maybe Virginia. Hit me up for a group day trip
