Big Bear in the Spring?

Looking for some help here. I am taking the family to Big Bear this spring break, 4/1-4/5, for a little get away. Not sure how much snow will be left but has any one been up there lately or in the snow? Wondering what trails might be open for some off roading. Is 2N10 open this time of year?

We were up there a few weeks ago in the snow. The fire roads should be open. I don't believe they close them. Unless there is a significant storm between now and then, you won't see any snow. Might still have some mud and water holes in the shaded areas

That's what I thought, kids where hoping for snow, but I doubt it. Have not wheeled in the snow before so I wanted to keep it easy with 2N10 trail.

U may want to stay on fire road, specialy if u by yourself.

Up in Big Bear now for spring break with the family. Staying next to Bear Mountain, a little snow for boarding and even less on the trails. South side of the lake is still closed per the FS office, will not open for at least 2 weeks. North side was open and that is where we went for a day trip. Kept it easy, nice easy day.
