Hello H4O!
Got myself a great deal on a 3 last year and wanted to a start a build. I’ve been lurking on the forums for a while because I wanted to have some content to post before I made a thread and I didn’t want to ask obvious questions. So everything I am posting now has been mods that I’ve been doing for the past year or so.
So here is my H3:
2006 Hummer H3 3.5L Luxury with 100K Miles – Extras include Sunroof,Leather, and Bling Bling.
So this is what the 3 looked like the first day I got it. Previous owner had just bought some new 285/75-16 Duratracs on there so that’s one less thing need to get started! Beside that, the truck was completely stock.

Obviously the first alteration I did was to de-chrome the exterior. I didn’t really want to go with the all too common Plastidip or paint route, so I sanded down the trim pieces and sprayed on some bed liner. The texture definitely gives a more rugged look than if I would have painted it. After that I did plastidip the wheel covers to see how this stuff holds up against mud and dust. To my surprise it still looks great a year later! Also plasti-ed the emblems red. It still looks brand new! Removed the ground reduction nerf bars and repainted the front A-Pillar plastic covers.

The radio that came from the factory didn’t come with Sirius/XM and I wanted something I could play audio through my phone, so I replaced it with an Alpine IVE-W535HD and added a custom boot screen logo. No lockers yet:/
