2005 Hummer H2 Stolen!

Hello everybody!

I am new to this site but I desperately need your help!
My son and I were visiting for the holidays and he woke up this morning to find that his H2 Hummer had been stolen out of the hotel's parking lot this morning.

We were staying at TownePlace Suites in Stafford Texas.
It was stolen using a black tow truck and they used a jammer to block the police video.

My son filed a police report with Stafford PD and they could only identify a black tow truck in the beginning of the video and that's when it went dark.
When the video returned my son's Hummer was no longer there.

Date of Incident: Monday around 3am on 12/30/2024.

I have attached pictures of his truck (these were taken from the security camera of a relative's house we were visiting).

He just had the transmission redone and we are all just devastated at this point.

He serves the military, works very hard just to have this done to him.
This was his only source of transportation and now we have to get a rental for how long we don't know to get back home.

At this point we dont know what to do after filing the police report.
We also went to the respective tow company that the police say may have towed it in error. However, they do not even have his car registered as it being towed.
We think it was stolen by some type of criminal gang that's targeting certain vehicles.
We also believe that we were being watched.

Please help with advice!!

Thank you so much!!

That sucks. Hope they find it soon. I have been told that most vehicles stolen in South Texas wind up in Mexico or chop shops. If it isn't recovered in the first 24 hours the odds of recovery start dropping pretty quickly. Hopefully your son had it fully insured and has rental reimbursement on his policy.

**UPDATE**

My son's H2 was found w/in 24 hrs but, unfortunately, it was gutted and a total loss.

We are frustrated but at the same time very thankful that nobody was hurt or injured in a carjacking.
Lessons were learned and no he did not have any of the things that you guys mentioned in the previous threads.
But, thank you for all of your support and we have definitely learned a valuable lesson regarding not to drive certain vehicles in certain areas.
We are living in a dangerous and envious world.

Stay safe everyone!!

Sad to hear that, we bought our first H2 a little while ago and I put a mycar2 remote starter in it besides being able to to start and unlock your hunmer from your phone you can also track it real time . Was only $650 CAD. And a lifetime subscription.
