    Transfer case?

    2006 h3 with 150k. Just had front axles replaced. Mechanic took it for a test drive and said it drove horrible. He thought it could be related to transfer case so he checked the fluid which he said was black and contained metal. Only issue I noticed earlier was some binding when I turned sharply...
