Custom sewn canvas and a conduit tubing frame? Doesn't seem like it'd be too hard to fabricate, and probably a lot cheaper than getting a Snugtop.

Soft top foldable like convertible. Soft toppers in Colorado. New one ~800. I bough mine on forum for ~400. Very nice quality and rear window or mesh zips up or can be removed completely, sides can roll up.
