Jason, Jerry S. and I went up to the Payson, AZ area for Pyeatt Draw trail. It's a fairly short trail that follows a creekbed- usually dry but sometimes there's water, especially at the last obstacle. Sunday it was bone dry but at least it was 10-15 degrees cooler than Phoenix.
Most of the trail is modest and the last obstacle is purpose-built rig territory.
All pics are HERE, but here's a sample
At the trailhead
Jerry humping his first rocks
Rock gardens
And then The Filter. I had Jerry stand by a couple of the ledges so you could get a good perspective.
We took a, uh, less traveled exit down a lightly used and scratchy trail. It is probably rare that anything larger than a side by side was on this trail
I collected a lot of broken branches and pine needles on my roof
No fancy music on the video since most watchers want to hear the trucks
