So last night I let my dog out and notice my headlights are on... I go turn them off and nothing.. all other lights are off only headlights still on... I have hids so I disconnect wire go to bed... Today I connect them back up and everything is fine.. switch works turns lights on and off... Daytime running lights are working... I can shut them off etc... I get home and double check that headlights are off and go inside.... Two hours later they are back on... Any ideas... They come on on their own...

Did the lights come with a new relay? If so, maybe the relay is bad allowing the current to flow through.

Are these lights plug and play? No cutting of oe harness? Me thinks you might have a BCM problem. On my H3 the headlights only, stay on for 30 or 60 seconds after shutting off engine. Some kind of timer function. You may be able to change that function to null with the proper scan tool. I'll check at work if our Verus will do that. May need to be a Tec 2. I'll try it on my 3.

No cutting of oen harness for the hids they worked perfect for about 8 months now... Over two years on my previous h3... They don't stay on after I shut off the h3... They come on on their own at different times... Quick fix I think I will rewire the hids to trigger from the parking lights that way headlights will still work on auto... Could it be the switch that is bad???

Ive had a similar problem the other day, with the rear lights though. Switch off the truck, walked away, 5 mins later realize the rear brake lights are on! Checked headlights switch, switched them from auto to OFF and they stayed on! Anyway, turned the truck on and drove it for a while and when I turned it off again issue was gone. No clue what happened though!

Your rear lights issue may be the switch under the brake pedal. Bigunit has had this issue, or similar
