Same here...drill a couple holes and bolt one to the THORparts bumper. Its got a nice flat surface that mimics the passenger side...

Rather than finding a bracket and welding it to the structure behind the bumper...I improvised. I took a piece of log chain, (about 18" long) and looped it around the hitch frame. The chain I chose is sized such that the links slip right over the tow-ring mounting bolts, on the back-side of the bumper. I put longer tow-ring bolts on, and then slipped the end links of the chain over each bolt...followed by a washer and nut. As I tightened the the nuts, the chain pulled taut, so there was zero slack in it. The final result is a new drivers-side tow-hook that is essentially tied to the frame...without welding anything. I have yanked like hell on it, and its going nowhere.
You can simply bolt a tow hook to the bumper but, be warned...it should be connected to the frame if you plan to use it for extractions.
is that thing above your tag the light? i think mine will be similar with mounting my tag on the gas can rack, thinking about how i want to design the tag holder and get a light on it.
recon how far are you from ft brag?

Yes. It's an LED tag light. I drilled and tapped it directly on the rack. Same with the tags. I'm about 45 mins out. I'm down at Range 37 every Wednesday and sometimes on weekends.

I sell these cool little LED bolts to a lot of THORparts customers...$19.00. I got em in black and stainless. These shine a nice bright, white, light on whatever you want. The light shines out 90-degrees from the bolt head. They are small, last a long time, and have hardly any current draw...

If you're considering moving you license plate to the spare or somewhere else...these are a good cheap solution to keep things well lit and legal. Just drill a hole...and hit it with a 12v lighting circuit.
Can I just cut the wires to my original tag light and wire the ones your selling into the original wires?
