Fly in the ointment

I do feel a bit foolish posting a question after being completely inactive for quite a while (not that I was that active to begin with)
Family issues have taken the bulk of my time for a while and I didn't have anything worth contributing.
That being said, I could use some help. I've done some moderate searching but cannot find the answer.
My '09 T (leveled) currently runs the factory aluminum wheels and 285's. I'm considering replacing the tires with 315's but might change the wheels as well. I want to stay with 16". I have looked at some ProComp steel wheels (black) in 16x8, with a 4.5" backspacing. Best I can tell, the wider tire combined with the decrease in backspacing might put me dangerously close to hitting the front bumper at full turn. Anyone have some experience with this scenario?
Thanks in advance,
PRC
